Preparing for the Exams

As part of the program, you will be required to take several exams. The most important exams you will need to take are the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) and the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).

The PTCE is administered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and consists of 90 multiple-choice questions. The ExCPT is administered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) and consists of 80 multiple-choice questions. Both exams are designed to test your knowledge of pharmacy tech skills and procedures.
