Welcome to MyCAA: Supporting Veteran Spouses on Their Education Journey
As a veteran spouse, you have a unique set of needs that MyCAA is here to help you meet. As part of the Department of Defense Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) program, we’re here to provide you with the financial assistance you need to pursue career training and certifications.
What Is MyCAA?
MyCAA is a career development and employment assistance program that offers financial assistance to eligible military spouses who are pursuing certifications, licenses, or associate’s degrees in high-demand, high-growth portable career fields and occupations. The MyCAA Scholarship Program can help you pay for tuition, fees and other education related expenses, such as books, supplies, and licensure fees.
To be eligible for MyCAA, you must be a military spouse of an active duty, guard, or reserve service member of any rank in any branch of the U.S. military. Additionally, you must be within a three-year window of your service member’s current service in the military.
Once you have determined that you are eligible for MyCAA, the next step is to create a MyCAA account. Your account will be your portal to the MyCAA program.
Creating a MyCAA Account
Creating a MyCAA account is easy. All you need to do is go to the MyCAA website and click the “Create an account” button. You will then be asked to provide your name, address, email, and phone number. Once you have completed the account creation process, you will be able to access the MyCAA program.
Getting Started With MyCAA
Once you have created your MyCAA account, the next step is to explore the MyCAA program. You can find a list of approved schools, programs, and courses, as well as information about financial assistance. You can also use MyCAA to find a career counselor or mentor to help you plan your career path.
Making the Most of MyCAA
MyCAA can be a valuable tool for veteran spouses looking to further their education and advance their careers. However, it is important to remember that MyCAA is not a free ride. You will still need to apply for financial aid, take courses, and pay for tuition, books, and supplies.
Additionally, MyCAA can only provide financial assistance for certain educational goals. It is important to research your educational options and determine if a MyCAA-eligible program is the best fit for you.
MyCAA is here to help veteran spouses pursue their educational and career goals. From creating an account to researching your educational options, MyCAA can provide you with the resources you need to get started on your education journey.
