Program Overview
Our comprehensive and hands-on online program is designed to provide aspiring EKG Technicians with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the healthcare industry.
Study the basics of cardiac monitoring, gaining knowledge about heart rhythms and their significance. Become Nationally Board Certified as a CET
Our students receive high-quality training from experienced instructors in a supportive learning environment.
NHA Board Examination CET Certification Program. Students will be eligible to take the CET Board Examination upon completion of AlliedRx Institute of Healthcare CET (Certified EKG Technician) Program.
Fundamentals of Electrocardiography: Students will gain a foundational understanding of how electrocardiograms work. This includes the principles of cardiac electrophysiology, the electrical activity of the heart, and how EKG machines capture and interpret this activity to produce the characteristic waveforms.
EKG Interpretation and Analysis: One of the core skills of an EKG Tech is the ability to read and interpret EKG tracings. Students will learn to recognize normal and abnormal rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and understand the clinical implications of various cardiac conditions like atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and myocardial infarctions.
Patient Care and Electrode Placement: Proper electrode placement is crucial for obtaining accurate EKG readings. Students will be trained in the correct placement of electrodes on the patient's body, ensuring clear and precise tracings. Additionally, they'll learn how to prepare patients for the procedure, address any concerns, and ensure their comfort throughout the test.
Patient Care and Electrode Placement: EKG Techs must be proficient in using various types of EKG equipment. From standard 12-Lead EKG Machines to Hoter Monitors and Stress Test Systems. Students will learn how to operate, calibrate and maintain this equipment ensurin accurate readings and patient safety.

Courses
The Electrocardiography Fundamentals course provides a comprehensive introduction to the anatomy and physiology of the heart. The course covers the normal electrical conduction of the heart and the variations that can occur, as demonstrated by changes in the waveform on a cardiac monitoring device. Students will gain a solid understanding of the heart's structure and function, and how it relates to the electrical signals captured on an EKG. The course is designed for those with little to no prior knowledge of electrocardiography, but who are interested in learning about the basics of this important field. Upon completion of this course, students will have a strong foundation in the fundamental concepts and principles of electrocardiography, and will be well-prepared to pursue further studies in the field.
This laboratory course is designed for students who want to gain hands-on experience with electrocardiography (ECG) and improve their understanding of the electrical activity of the heart.Participants will learn how to perform and interpret ECGs, including the assessment of normal and abnormal patterns.Upon completion of the program, you will be fully prepared to take the NHA certification exam. This exam validates your knowledge and skills, demonstrating your proficiency as an EKG technician. With your certification in hand, you'll be well-equipped to pursue a fulfilling career in the medical field. This course is designed to provide students with an overview of the various medical specialties and subspecialties within the field of medicine. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and case studies, students will gain a deeper understanding of the unique characteristics and responsibilities of each specialty, as well as the opportunities and challenges they present. Students will learn about the various medical specialties, including internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynecology.
