What is the WIOA Grant?
WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) was established by the Department of Labor and Department of Education with the aim of assisting individuals who face challenges in securing a high-quality career. The program facilitates the acquisition of industry-recognized credentials for in-demand jobs by job seekers, thereby creating avenues to break free
The funding for the WIOA grant comes from two sources, namely the Department of Labor and the Department of Education.
To check if you meet the eligibility criteria, you can visit the American Job Centers (AJC), which is where the funds are distributed from. The amount of funding available per person varies depending on factors such as the state or region you reside in, and the funding allocated to your local AJC.
