Applicants must be 18 years of age to apply and be admitted to the Phlebotomy Technician Program
Applicants must be; attending high school, have a GED certificate, or is a high school graduate
Applicant must have demonstrated English language proficiency (including reading, writing and speaking)

Phlebotomy Lab

In this class, students will learn how to collect blood samples safely, efficiently, and with minimal discomfort to the patient.
Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to practice phlebotomy techniques on simulated patients in a controlled lab environment. They will learn how to properly prepare the patient, identify suitable veins, and use various types of equipment to collect blood specimens. In addition to these practical skills, students will also receive instruction on infection control, anatomy and physiology, and ethical and legal considerations related to phlebotomy.
