The MyCAA Scholarship: Everything You Need to Know About Eligibility

Who is Eligible?
-An active duty service member in pay grades E1 - E5, W1 - W2, or O1 - O2
-A activated Guard and Reserve member in pay grades E1 - E5, W1 - W2, O1 - O2, or any other pay grade that allows participation in the MyCAA Scholarship Program
-A retired service member or medically retired service member of any pay grade
-You must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
-You must be an educationally and economically disadvantaged military spouse.
-You must not have used the MyCAA Scholarship before.
What are the Requirements?
In order to be eligible for the MyCAA Scholarship, you must also meet a few requirements.
First, you must be pursuing an approved degree, certificate, or license. The approved programs must lead to an occupation that is portable across state lines. That means that the occupation you are studying for must be in demand in more than one state.
Second, you must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical school. The school must be approved by the U.S. Department of Education.
Finally, you must be enrolled in no more than three courses per term. You can take up to six courses per year, but you must complete them within three years of starting the program.

Applying for the MyCAA Scholarship is easy. All you have to do is create an account on the MyCAA website. Once your account is approved, you can start the application process.
There are several steps you will need to complete before you can apply for the scholarship. You will need to create an education plan, complete a financial assessment, and submit the MyCAA Scholarship application.
Once you complete the application, you will receive an email within 10 days confirming your eligibility. If you are approved, you can begin the enrollment process with your school.
