Join the AlliedRx Institute of Healthcare MYCAA Registered Dental Assistant Online Program and embark on your journey to earn your Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential through our comprehensive 14-week online training program. Dental Assisting is a rapidly growing profession in the United States, and this program will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in this field.
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in the dental practice team, working closely with dentists and dental hygienists. Your responsibilities will include patient interaction, scheduling, vital sign assessment, diagnostic testing, laboratory work, x-ray procedures, and assistance during dental visits and procedures. Dental Assistants also provide post-care instructions and follow-up calls in many practices. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to perform various laboratory tasks such as coronal polishing, sealant and fluoride application, and topical anesthetic application.
Please note that this program is not available to residents of the following states: AR, LA, MA, MT, ND, NV, NY, PA, RI, WI. Throughout the program, you will:
- Gain the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification exam.
- Learn about tooth numbering systems, dental charting, and patient scheduling based on treatment plans.
- Identify critical head, neck, and oral anatomy relevant to patient care, including anomalies and radiographic landmarks.
- Demonstrate essential dental assisting skills, including patient preparation, measuring vital signs, and practicing four-handed dentistry. You will also be prepared to handle medical emergencies in the dental office.
